Week 1 UX Amazon

Image
For week 1, I will be evaulating the website Amazon . The website is meant to provide a shopping experience for various items.  The issue I had with the website is the homepage. It appears too busy and distracting making it difficult where to look. I believe this violates the HE principle of aesthetic and minalmist desig n. I would give this a severity ranking of 1: a cosmetic problem .  I believe this could be fixed by creating a more condensed menu bar that leads to different pages with more sections versus keeping all of those sections on the main menu bar. Also, instead of running products under the ads, they could just use the main homepage for the slideshow pictures of ads. This would give a simpler cleaner look.
